Graceworks Lutheran Services is a not for profit organization serving over 2000 older adults and adults with disabilities. Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining a comfortable, clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment in all resident home areas and public areas including hallways, stairways, common areas, offices, etc. Comply with Federal, State, and local standards and guidelines, and regulations governing Bethany Village

Compensation: $20.80/hr + - Wage increases with years of relatable,verifiable work experience.

Duties:

• Assists in supervising day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with Federal, State, and local standards.
• Prepares and maintains a weekly employee work schedule including holidays, special functions etc.; completes and monitors time sheets, attendance, and other employee related issues.
• Supervises personnel responsible for sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing, and buffing hard surface floors.
• Supervises personnel responsible for shampooing, spot cleaning, and vacuuming carpets.
• Responsible for making decisions regarding the daily operation of the department and reporting any unsafe equipment or safety hazards immediately to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Assists in the development and instruction of proper procedures for the department under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with residents, families, and co-workers; and interaction with every department within the facility.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Supervisory experience
• Three years of experience housekeeping
• Able to interpret and understand mixtures and label instructions
