Job summary

Cedar House in Bloomington, CA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead housekeeping and laundry operations within our facility. You will oversee staff, train teams, manage schedules, and uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

A strong focus on confidentiality, integrity, and teamwork is essential for delivering high-quality services. The role requires 1–3 years in housekeeping with supervisory experience; CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, or commercial cleaning operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervises housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Implements staff development through training and education.
• Conducts performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Schedules staff and approves vacation/time off.
• Ensures staff are trained and oriented to policies and procedures.
• Maintains records of coaching, corrective actions and performance plans.

Salary for this position is $26.50 / Hour.

Staff Management

DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the following positions:

• Improving staff development through recommendations for training seminars and education


• Complete performance evaluations as needed for all direct reports


• Responsible for scheduling all staff, including approval of time off/vacation requests


• Ensure all staff are properly trained and orientated to job responsibilities as well as policies and procedures


• Maintain records of Verbal Coaching, Corrective Action Plans, and Performance Improvement Plans

Job Functions

• Inspect client rooms, offices, public areas, and facilities for cleanliness and quality standards.


• Laundry supervision and linen ordering.


• Train new employees on cleaning procedures and safety practices.


• Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies as needed.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.


• Handle client/staff complaints related to housekeeping services.


• Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and staff performance.


• Assign tasks and monitor job efficiency


• Facilitate and document monthly departmental meetings

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• 1-3 years of housekeeping experience.


• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.


• Experience in hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, or commercial cleaning operations is an advantage.

Education

• Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.


• Hospitality, hotel management, or related coursework preferred.


• Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.


• Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.
