Job summary

Hilton in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Steward / Houseman to uphold the highest cleanliness standards and contribute to memorable guest experiences throughout the property.

Day-to-day duties include cleaning public areas, assisting with room cleaning, stocking supplies, and performing deep cleaning projects. You’ll work with a friendly team to ensure every guest stay meets Hilton’s light and warmth standard.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar hospitality housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations on guest floors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing).
• Maintains cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Keep public areas spotless by cleaning designated areas (restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, event spaces) through dusting, vacuuming, mopping, washing windows, and trash removal.
• Delight guests by greeting warmly, delivering requested items, and assisting with room cleaning as needed.
• Manage supplies by stocking and organizing supply rooms to support housekeeping operations.
• Handle special projects including periodic deep cleaning tasks (flipping mattresses, moving furniture, waxing floors).
• Support property maintenance by identifying and reporting repair needs or deficiencies.

As a Housekeeping Steward / Houseman, you’re not just ensuring the cleanliness of designated areas of the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Keep public areas spotless: Maintain cleanliness of designated areas—including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces—by performing daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash
• Delight our guests: Greet guests warmly, deliver requested items, and assist with room cleaning as needed
• Manage supplies: Stock and organize supply rooms to support efficient housekeeping operations
• Handle special projects: Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors
• Support property maintenance: Identify and report any repair needs or maintenance deficiencies to ensure a well‑kept property.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Knowledge of housekeeping’s daily operations on guest floors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ensures cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.
• Capable of managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
• Basic verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and safety protocols.
