Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas is seeking a Housekeeping Specialist to maintain and repair housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, to ensure a seamless guest experience.

You will perform preventive maintenance, adhere to safety procedures, and contribute to memorable moments during guests' stays with a focus on responsive repairs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Replace out of order vacuum with one in working order and repair vacuums with minor problems.
• Complete preventive maintenance for guest room attendants and housekeeping vacuums.
• Deliver all vacuums with motor or electrical problems to Facilities for repair and remove repaired vacuums from Facilities.
• Replace energy saving light bulbs on lamps as assigned.
• Perform monthly recheck of expiration date on hand fire extinguishers located throughout the hotel.
• Handle two-way communication radio and respond to beeper for incoming calls.
• Follow safety procedures.

THE JOB:

As a Housekeeping Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining and repairing housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience. Your role involves proactive preventive maintenance and adherence to safety procedures, all while delivering exceptional service that contributes to creating memorable moments for guests during their stay.

THE STARTING RATE:

$ 22.9913 hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Replace out of order vacuum with one in working order, repair out of order vacuums with minor problems
• Complete preventive maintenance for Guest Room Attendant and House Person's vacuum cleaners
• Deliver all vacuums with motor or electrical problems to Facilities for repair, remove repaired vacuums from Facilities
• Replace energy saving light bulbs on lamps as assigned
• Perform monthly recheck of expiration date on hand fire extinguishers that are located throughout the hotel
• Handle two-way communication radio, and respond to beeper for incoming calls
• Follow safety procedures
