Position Title: HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES MANAGER

Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Sunday night to Thursday night

Salary: $70,000

Pay Grade: 10

Other Forms of Compensation: 4% Bonus

Job Summary

As a Housekeeping Service Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the successful operation and customer service of the EVS/housekeeping department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas.
2. Participates in recruitment and staff selection process.
3. Assists with housekeeper scheduling.
4. Assigns established work areas and or project duties.
5. Plans and coordinates project work.
6. Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings, development and training courses.
7. Provides and monitors individual guidance and motivation to employees.
8. Participates in facility Quality Assurance Program as required.
9. Works with chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
10. Assigns equipment to staff; monitors daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
11. Ensures that all equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times.
12. Assists housekeepers on an as needed basis.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
2. 1 or more years of supervisory/management experience.
3. Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations.
6. Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff.
7. Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts.
8. Excellent administrative and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize.
9. Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions.
10. CRCST or any other applicable sterile processing certification is preferred.
11. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
12. Associate’s degree is preferred.
