Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor maintains the building to ensure a safe and clean environment for hotel guests, associates, and vendors. Provides direction and support to the Housekeeping team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back of the house; ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation standards to achieve high cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
2. Review special requests and areas of concentration to ensure smooth housekeeping operations.
3. Issue supplies to staff at the beginning of each shift to control inventory and expenses.
4. Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure satisfaction.
5. Log items into the Lost and Found and respond to inquiries to maintain control and guest satisfaction.
6. Implement emergency procedures to protect the hotel, guests, staff, and assets.
7. Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist team members as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.

Compensation

Not eligible for tips or service charges. No discretionary performance bonus.
