Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa in Amelia Island, Florida is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to uphold our high cleanliness standards in guest rooms. You will refresh rooms for staying guests and thoroughly clean those of check-out guests to prepare for the next arrival.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work a fast-paced environment. You will stand/walk for long periods and flex hours to support busy events.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance and demeanor.
• Prior housekeeping or related environmental services experience required.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and colleagues.
• Computer literacy to include payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and keep it neat and organized.
• Check equipment before and after use to ensure proper function.
• Maintain a professional appearance according to Omni standards.
• Respond swiftly in emergencies to ensure a safe guest environment.
• Attend required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Overview:

The Guest Room Attendant position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay,as well as,thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.

• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability tomaintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at alltime.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
