Job summary

Commonwealth-Lodging-Management-LL is seeking a Public Space Attendant to clean and maintain designated hotel areas, ensuring cleanliness standards are met across guest rooms, corridors, and service areas.

The role requires ability to lift and transport, stand for long periods, and use cleaning equipment safely. A high school diploma or GED is expected, with prior housekeeping experience preferred and basic computer skills.

• Related Work Experience: Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Requires computer skills.
• Good understanding of the English language, good communication skills both written and verbal.

Job description

The Public Space Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all items and surfaces in designated areas, ensuring hotels' standards of cleanliness. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.Physical responsibilities include Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds. Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Work environment - front office, and all areas of the hotel. The job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time. Work environment - Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, Housekeeping Office. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, biohazards and chemicals. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.
