Job summary

JW Marriott Reston Station is seeking a Public Attendant to maintain guest room cleanliness and uphold the brand’s hospitality standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities include thorough dusting, bathroom cleaning, and restocking, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. A professional appearance, reliability, and willingness to assist colleagues are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co‑workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Problem solving personality.
• Friendly disposition with a passion for hospitality.
• Team player who strives to support others and likes to win as a team.
• Previous Marriott experience preferred.

• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Represent JW Marriott’s brand identity, values and pillars.
