Job summary

BENCHMARK is looking for a detail-oriented Public Areas Attendant to ensure cleanliness in all public spaces. This role is critical for guest satisfaction, as you'll engage with guests and maintain the cleanliness of areas such as bathrooms, restaurants, and hallways.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and some housekeeping experience, with excellent time-management and communication skills. Flexibility for various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.

Public Areas Attendant

We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented individual to join our Housekeeping team as a Public Areas Attendant. This role is the "Heart of the House," ensuring cleanliness of all public spaces, assisting room attendants, and creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
• Work as a team to achieve the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness.
• Walk all assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift to collect bags and trash.
• Ensure cleanliness of all public areas, including bathrooms, restaurants, lounge areas, and hallways.
• Clean all public areas in a prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
• Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and take to appropriate locations in a prescribed manner.
• Respond to guests and team members in a friendly, helpful manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.

• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physical capability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; detect odors; navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
