Job Description

To clean and maintain all carpets and floors in public and associate areas, in accordance with Omni Standards.

Responsibilities

1. Shampoo and spot clean all hotel carpeted areas.
2. Operate and maintain carpet cleaning machinery and supplies.
3. Shampoo lobby and public area carpets.
4. Shampoo elevator carpets.
5. Shampoo guestroom and hallway carpets.
6. Report all damages to carpeted areas.
7. Responsible for rotation of oriental rugs.
8. Proper documentation of scheduled cleaning cycles.

Qualifications

1. Previous housekeeping floor care experience preferred (hotel preferred, although other environmental services positions will be considered).
2. Strong attention to detail required.
3. Good communication, time management, follow-through and customer service skills are required.
4. Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations.
5. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
6. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting. Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance and a minimum of 100 lbs with assistance.
7. Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
8. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.
