Description
The EVS Project Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Cleans and services hospital. Performs a variety of duties to maintain the hospital in an orderly, safe, and sanitary condition. Completes project duties including hard surface and carpet care, wall washing, and hanging of cubicle curtains.
Responsibilities
- Performs assigned restoration of hard surface resilient floor care. Procedures include stripping, shower scrubbing, finish application, and burnishing of floors. Performs assigned cleaning procedures on all soft surface floors (carpet). Procedures include vacuuming, damp buffing, hot water extraction, and dry enzyme process, and spot extraction.
- Projects to include, but not limited to: upholstery cleaning, wall washing, cubicle curtain/drapes (assembly/disassemble), light cleaning, and ledge cleaning.
- Completes Altrapure (disinfecting system) process to all assigned patient rooms, surgical suites, clinical and treatment areas, and ancillary areas.
- Responsibilities include assignment and tracking of rooms, set-up, machine operations, and breakdown. Exhibits proficient technical knowledge of department equipment, chemicals, safety, and policies/procedures. Uses equipment and chemicals in a safe and effective manner. Practices safety measures by utilizing wet floor signs, PPE, and other safety procedures.
- Is able to perform duties of the Environmental Services Tech, Sanitation Tech, or the Service Associate when needed.
- Has above-standard knowledge of the department's equipment, chemicals, policies, and procedures. Uses chemicals and equipment effectively and safely. Uses appropriate chemicals, diluted at the correct ratio, in properly labeled containers.
- Performs assigned restoration of hard-surface floor care procedures, including stripping, refinishing, shower scrubbing, and burnishing floors. Completes assigned carpet care procedures, including damp buffing, shampooing, and extracting.
- Promotes safety in the workplace. Uses wet floor signs, PPE, etc. Follows established infection control and isolation guidelines; uses standard precautions.
- Performs additional work and projects as assigned by manager or supervisor.
- Exhibits the ability to articulate designed scripting model to each customer we serve.

Qualifications
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read English and understand equipment manuals
- Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
