Job Summary

The homemaker is responsible for providing clients with personal and housekeeping services as described herein. The employee should maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety based upon the client's resources. This position must provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying environment for the clients. This is a part‑time, per diem position.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform the functions generally undertaken by a customary homemaker, including laundry, household chores, and cleaning.
• Report any incidents, problems, or changes in the client's behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain appropriate work records.
• Provide housekeeping tasks such as:

• Perform deep cleaning as needed.
• Launder the client's personal garments.
• Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens.
• Make beds.
• Clean bathrooms.
• Sweep and mop the floor.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust furniture and other surfaces as needed.
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Clean kitchen, wipe surface areas and appliances.
• Empty and clean wastebaskets, ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
