Qualifications

Upper East SideLocation:

Located among the high-rise blocks of the Upper East Side of The City That Never Sleeps, a forgotten building that used to be MOMA's art warehouse renovates itself to become an AIRE location with over 9,600 square feet. The old walls breathe the creativity from the thousands of pieces of art that once lived in its interior, through which now flows absolute relaxation, thanks to the baths at different temperatures and the six double massage rooms. The historic construction is also a residential building, making it the perfect opportunity to have relaxation at your fingertips.

The Role:

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the Locker Room, Laundry, and Overnight Cleaning Teams, ensuring that all housekeeping services meet AIRE's standards. You will provide leadership for each team, including recruiting, training, and engagement. Your hands-on approach will be essential in guaranteeing the upkeep of the bathhouse. You will play an integral role in providing clients with the exceptional service and experience thatAIRE is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Manage locker, laundry, and overnight cleaning team performance.
  • Guarantee cleaning and sanitation processes set by AIRE protocols are met.
  • Ensure proper functioning of the site's laundry processes and deliverables.
  • Ensure proper use of company products andequipment used for housekeeping.
  • Monitor performance of external (e.g. vendors) cleaning/laundry employees.
  • Oversee inventory pertaining to cleaning, locker room and laundry supplies, and place necessary orders.
  • Submit weekly reports of incidents, improvements, and events of interest to upper management.

Client Experience

  • Ensure the well-being and comfort of clients in locker rooms by providing them with the necessary products available.
  • Ensure the facility meets AIRE's standardof tidiness and cleanliness.
  • Assist clients with queries and questions they have about their experience, especially pertaining to the locker room.

People Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop the Locker Room, Laundry, and Overnight Cleaning Teams.
  • Provide individual feedback and propose training plans for all supervised teams.
  • Create and implement schedules for all supervised teams.
  • Coordinate laundry needs with the Brooklyn Laundry Team and facility.

Who You Are:

  • 5 years of experience providing cleaning/housekeeping services.
  • 3 years leading a team within the hospitality, fitness, or wellness industry.
  • Experience in a laundry-related role, preferred.
  • Experience in a luxury business and/or spa, preferred.
  • Experience with onboarding and training new hires.
  • Experience with team building.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible with scheduling according to business needs.
  • Organized and capable of following detailed instructions.
  • Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
