Job summary

Legends Global seeks a seasoned Housekeeping Manager to lead the day-to-day cleaning operations at Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, AZ. You will supervise staff, schedule shifts, train employees, and ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for all events.

You will partner with event management and operations to ready the venue for conferences, trade shows, concerts, and community gatherings, while maintaining budgets and driving service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of five years knowledge of general cleaning and techniques relative to housekeeping procedures.
• Must have knowledge of scheduling/staffing requirements for industry related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in proven supervisory role in the field.
• High school diploma required; some college coursework desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance program to ensure facility cleanliness.
• Track employee records including attendance and disciplinary action.
• Monitor expenditures to stay within department budget; assist in operating budget development.
• Arrange annual training program for housekeeping staff.
• Attend pre-convention and events meetings; prepare daily/weekly worksheets.
• Delegate interdepartmental tasks related to housekeeping operations.
• Assist in administration of union agreement with management.
• Supervise crews as schedule dictates; manage staffing in absences.
• Communicate departmental event charges to Event Management promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position leads the day-to-day housekeeping operation, overseeing staffing, training, scheduling, and facility cleanliness to ensure the venue consistently meets the highest standards.Working closely with event management and operations teams, the Housekeeping Manager helps prepare the facility for a diverse range of events, from conventions and trade shows to concerts and community gatherings.
