Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Laurel, MD is seeking a dynamic Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations across our on-site teams. The role emphasizes service culture, guest satisfaction, and staff development within a growing hospitality portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years in housekeeping management, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to supervise room and public area cleaning to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• High School education required; post-secondary preferred.
• Minimum of three years in housekeeping management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspects suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repair.
• Performs housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms during shift.
• Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies and coaching.
• Notifies GM or Chief Engineer of maintenance as needed.
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports.
• Performs other duties to meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness. Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years in Housekeeping management position

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
