Description

We are seeking a Housekeeping/ Shift Leader to play a critical, hands-on leadership role in the day-to-day. This is a shift leadership position that bridges front-line service and operations management—perfect for someone who thrives on staff mentorship and dynamic hospitality environments.

Position Summary – Shift Leader Focus

As a Shift Leader, you are responsible for supporting the team, overseeing service readiness, being a resource to staff, and helping uphold standards in guest service and dining venue presentation.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Manager on Duty while also acting as the lead point of contact on the floor—supporting operations, troubleshooting service issues, and helping train and guide team members through example.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Manager on Duty to support daily operations and service flow.
  • Serve as keyholder for assigned outlets; may act as opening/closing manager when needed.
  • Oversee venue setup, ensuring all dining areas are clean, orderly, and guest-ready before each shift.
  • Monitor cleanliness and presentation of all rooms.
  • Help enforce uniform standards and proper staff appearance.
  • Be visible and available during peak hours; support and assist the floor team where needed.
  • Lead by example—model service standards, professionalism, and positivity.
  • Support training of new staff and provide feedback for ongoing team development.
  • Participate in special event planning and execution, particularly for member and private events.
  • Help adjust staff coverage and coordinate schedules when necessary.

Operational Support Duties

  • Work with the Catering/Events and Food & Beverage team to manage floor plans for events.
  • Serve as a liaison between service staff and management, escalating issues appropriately.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in upscale dining, preferably in a club, resort, or high-end restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and making informed decisions.
  • Able to train, coach, and guide peers effectively.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, both indoors and outdoors, in varied weather.
