The Veterans Health Administration (DOVA) at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC, seeks a Housekeeping Lead to oversee housekeeping Aids and ensure high standards of cleanliness across the medical center.

Responsibilities include delegating duties, coordinating with other services, scheduling assignments, training staff, and maintaining safety and sanitation. This is a full-time, permanent role with a recruitment incentive and weekends as needed.

Formación

• Experience leading housekeeping staff or similar supervisory experience.
• Ability to train staff and provide on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and proper sanitation.
• Ability to plan and schedule assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee duties of Housekeeping Aids in the medical center.
• Delegate daily and project-by-project tasks.
• Coordinate work with supervisors to avoid interrupting patient care.
• Schedule daily/weekly assignments and allocate personnel/equipment.
• Determine equipment and cleaning materials needed for each job.
• Train staff on patient-centered care and safety.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
• Ensure safety regulations are observed and conduct training as needed.
• Inspect areas to ensure sanitation and timely completion.
