The Housekeeping Team Lead plays a key role in overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet or exceed company standards while supporting team performance, productivity, and departmental goals, as well as assisting the Housekeeping Assistant Manager to ensure proper cleanliness, team building, cleanliness score expectations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Support and ensure cleanliness across all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and laundry operations.Review daily tasks and report maintenance issues.In absence of management maintain the overall appearance of the property, including parking areas, walkways, service areas, and building exteriors.Utilize the property management system to support daily operations and maintain accurate records.Answer special requests and resolve complaints quickly.Training all new hires on 9-step cleaning processes and monthly deep clean program.Maintain working knowledge of hotel operating procedures and enforce all policies and Hyatt brand standards.Assign work to housekeeping team members to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.Communicate effectively with other departments regarding operational needs or issues.Train housekeeping and laundry team members on procedures, standards, and expectations.Monitor and inspect carpets, drapes, furniture, and fixtures for cleanliness, damage, or wear.Support manager to track, count, and manage linens and supplies; order replacements as needed.Conduct inspections and document findings, ensuring timely resolution of deficiencies.Ensure Lost and Found procedures are followed in accordance with company policy.Enforce key control policies and safety standards to protect team members, guests, and company assets.Follow material safety data sheet (MSDS) guidelines when handling chemicals.Act as backup support for housekeeping and laundry team members as assigned.Monitor attendance, document tardiness/absences, and coordinate team member breaks.Inspect grooming and uniform standards, addressing any deficiencies.Maintain knowledge of all room types and required standards.Review housekeeping communication logs daily.Conduct departmental meetings and support team member communication.Notify management and appropriate authorities in emergency situations.Inform leadership of any unusual situations or operational concerns.All other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods.Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance.Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull as required for inspections and operational support.Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality operations.Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.Basic communication skills.Ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines.Strong leadership and communication abilities.Excellent time management and attention to detail.Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation rules.Physical stamina to stand, walk, and clean as needed.Embody our Core Values: Respect, Integrity, Humility, Empathy, Creativity, Fun.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience in inspecting for housekeeping, whether in a hospitality or medical atmosphere.Familiarity with housekeeping equipment and chemical handling procedures.Strong knowledge of stain reclamation.Knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping workflows.
