Job summary

Ocean Crest Resort in Pacific Beach is hiring a Resort Housekeeper/Laundry team member to maintain an exceptional environment for our guests. Responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms and managing laundry operations to ensure fresh linens are always available.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in hospitality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks independently as well as in a team. Pay ranges from $17.50 to $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry operations preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Key Objectives

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas.
• Efficiently manage laundry operations to ensure timely availability of fresh linens and uniforms.
• Contribute to a welcoming and comfortable environment that enhances guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to resort standards.
• Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure rooms are guest‑ready.
• Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing stations, following safety and quality protocols.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and uniforms efficiently.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and laundry products, requesting replenishments as needed.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to support smooth daily operations.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or laundry operations preferred, especially in a hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and laundry machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills in English to follow instructions and interact with team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
