Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to support the Housekeeping Manager and maintain Marriott brand standards.

You will inspect guest rooms and public areas, coach team members, ensure supplies and safety, and help keep rooms guest-ready on a fast-moving property in Chandler, AZ.

This role offers opportunities to contribute to service excellence and grow within a large hospitality organization.

Qualifications

• Six months of housekeeping inspection experience in a hotel of similar size and quality is preferred.
• Experience with hotel PMS systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out) for cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure public areas and back-of-house spaces meet quality standards.
• Identify maintenance concerns and report to Engineering; follow up.
• Coach and support Room Attendants and House Attendants to improve performance.
• Ensure supply, equipment, and resources are available for the team.
• Support to keep rooms guest-ready and assist with busy periods.

This role is essential in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet Marriott brand standards and provide an exceptional experience for every guest.If you take pride in quality, enjoy coaching others, and have a passion for hospitality, we invite you to join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Housekeeping Inspector, you will:Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out rooms) to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to Marriott brand standards.Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness expectations.Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the Engineering team and follow up as needed.Respond to and assist with special guest requests, including extra towels, pillows, blankets, and other amenities.Provide coaching, guidance, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants to promote continuous improvement and maintain high performance standards.Assist team members by ensuring they have the supplies, equipment, and resources needed to perform their duties efficiently.Partner with the housekeeping leadership team to ensure rooms are guest-ready and operational goals are achieved.Assist with room cleaning and other housekeeping duties when business demands require.Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment while delivering outstanding guest service.What are we looking for?QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:At least six months of housekeeping inspection in a hotel of similar size and quality.Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred.Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, quality standards, safety practices, and security policies.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members.Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow associates.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel while performing room inspections.Why Join Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel?At Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel, our associates are the heart of everything we do.
