Job description

The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is looking for a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team!

Connected by pedestrian skybridge to Disney Springs, this 1011-room property includes more than 150 dining, shopping, and entertainment venues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in hotel housekeeping as a supervisor or room inspector at a similar sized property, good verbal English communication skills and availability during nights, holidays, and weekends.

This is a full-time position which requires full availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will be scheduled from approximately 10:00am – 6:30pm with. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday availability is needed for this position – no exceptions.

Shift Pattern: Full Time – 10:00am – 6:30pm, availability on the following days is a must: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Pay Rate: $22.88 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Inspector, you would be responsible for inspecting rooms and suites, as well as hotel public areas to ensure all are cleaned and comply with Hilton/hotel standards.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Complete visual inspections of room/suites and ensure guest floors are kept clean and tidy in both front and back of houseareas.
  • Complete reports, verify status reports; change room status to ready and load into automated property management system.
  • Manage guest floors by continuously checking rooms inventory; assign rooms to attendants and ensure productivity in real time (including replacing DND rooms by 2pm)
  • Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies and check out with House Attendant daily verifying checklist duties completed.
  • Assist in managing base; incoming guest request and assigning to house person or inspector.
  • Complete work orders as needed when inspecting rooms with Engineering in HOTSOS.
  • Provide customer service to guests (internally/externally), including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions.
  • Promote team member loyalty and empowerment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations the repair and maintenance program as related to guestrooms and public areas.
  • Assist in housekeeping office with managing guest calls and routing to house attendants.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as managing work tickets in HOTSOS, office clean up and assisting in the cleaning/inspecting of other public areas.
