Job summary

Thompson Savannah seeks an energetic Housekeeping candidate with attention to detail and strong communication skills to maintain luxury standards. You will inspect guestrooms, assign projects, and ensure supplies and linen are adequately stocked while supporting leadership in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have prior housekeeping experience, can work under pressure, and maintain a 4-Diamond level cleanliness standard.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas
• Assign special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping
• Report any repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms
• Ensure supplies and linens are stocked for attendants
• Assist in cleaning and in processing room status reports
• Maintain organized linen carts and supply cages
• Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP and checkout rooms prioritized
• Knowledge of hotel facilities and events
• Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership

• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas

• Ensure that the Guest Room Attendant’s linen cart is neat and well organized.
• Ensure that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked.
• Maintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times.
• Must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion.
• Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP.
• Ensure check out/vacated rooms are a priority.
• Knowledge of hotel, facilities and events.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Previous experience in Housekeeping
• Ability to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards
• Ability to work with management on special projects
• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 75lbs
• Must be able to communicate via radio and phone as needed

Work Environment/Conditions

• Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
• Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to move 10lbs on a daily basis.
• Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs on a weekly basis.
