Job summary

Best Western All Suites Inn Santa Cruz is looking for a dependable Housekeeping House Person to help keep guest rooms and public areas clean and welcoming. You will work with Room Attendants and Supervisors to maintain standards and contribute to memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks from replenishing supplies and handling linens to basic repairs and safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
• Basic knowledge of minor maintenance and repair tasks is a plus.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and move supplies and equipment throughout the workday.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business demands require.

Responsibilities

• Assist Room Attendants by replenishing linens, supplies, and amenities throughout the day.
• Collect and transport soiled linens from housekeeping carts and designated areas promptly.
• Ensure linen closets and storage rooms remain organized, stocked, and maintained according to hotel standards.
• Empty trash from housekeeping carts and replace liners as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and other public spaces.
• Ensure guest-facing areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
• Support overall hotel cleanliness by responding quickly to housekeeping requests and operational needs.
• Perform minor room maintenance and basic repairs as assigned.
• Complete touch-up and cosmetic maintenance to help ensure guest rooms are ready for occupancy.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow all housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and hotel policies.
• Work closely with Room Attendants, Supervisors, and Maintenance team members to ensure operational excellence.
• Remain alert to potential safety concerns and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the hotel positively at all times.

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeping House Person, you'll be an essential part of the Housekeeping team, helping ensure guest rooms, public areas, and supply stations are fully stocked, clean, and operating efficiently.

Housekeeping Support

• Assist Room Attendants by replenishing linens, supplies, and amenities throughout the day.
