Job summary

Domain Hotel in Sunnyvale is seeking a House Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guestrooms and assist with lobby services and events.

The role involves deep cleaning, floor care, and occasional shuttle driving. A valid California driver's license is required for applicable duties. Both full-time and part-time options are available, with opportunities to grow in a hospitality-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel/related field experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver licence for the applicable State and an acceptable MVR.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Comply with hospitality standards to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Clean and buff floors daily according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo carpets in the public areas according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo furniture as needed according to hotel standards.
• Clean public restrooms and ensure maintenance on a regular basis.
• Handle luggage assistance at check-in/out in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests and staff.
• Handle items for Lost and Found according to hospitality standards.
• Turn in all keys and assignment sheets at the end of the shift to Housekeeping or Front Office.
• Complete daily assignment checklists and submit to supervisor at the end of the day.
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• Access back of house areas and sensitive information.
• Interact with guests and colleagues.
• Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility.
• Represent the company with sound judgement.

Description

The House Attendant responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the guestrooms of the hotel. Responsibilities might include (as dictated by hotel vertical): deep cleaning of assigned areas, setting-up and maintaining complimentary hotel lobby functions including the coffee service and nightly concierge events, cleaning and setting-up meeting room functions, delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk, and driving shuttle van when needed (property specific).

Job Duties & Functions

• Handle items for "Lost and Found" according tocompany Hospitality standards
• At the end of the shift, turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping or Front Office
• Complete daily assignment check list and submit to supervisor at the end of the day
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager
• Access to back of house areas of the hotel and sensitive information
• Interact and occasionally have unsupervised contact with guests and/or colleagues
• Access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises, including Master Keys and/or guestrooms and storage/liquor room
• Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility
• Represent the company with certain level of reputation and good character as well as exercise sound judgement
