Job summary

Le Meridien St Louis Clayton is seeking a dedicated Houseman to support the housekeeping team by delivering linens, amenities, and supplies, and by helping keep hallways and public spaces spotless. You’ll play a key role in room readiness and guest comfort.

This role emphasizes speed, safety, and care in a fast-paced hotel environment. The ideal candidate works well with Front Office, Maintenance, and leadership to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Deliver linens, amenities and supplies to rooms and public areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public areas, service closets and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond quickly to towels, pillows, rollaways, cribs and other guest needs.
• Keep storage rooms, closets and laundry areas organized and stocked.
• Assist with trash removal, linen transport, and other essential tasks for the department.
• Support flipping rooms, handling spills, and solving day‑to‑day hotel challenges.
• Communicate maintenance issues, supply shortages, and guest opportunities clearly.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, or move items such as linens, supplies, trash, furniture, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced hotel environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
