Omega Senior Living in Kearney, NE is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to maintain clean common areas and resident rooms. You will perform light cleaning, laundry, bed changes, trash removal, and support daily operations on the Day Shift.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, bathroom cleaning, restocking supplies, and responding to spills or accidents. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in institutional housekeeping is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily cleaning of main common areas and offices (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping).
• Cleans residents' apartments, including bathrooms, trash, dusting and vacuuming.
• Cleans public restrooms and breakrooms; empties office trash daily.
• Vacuums halls and front lobby as scheduled or when needed.
• Performs laundry tasks as needed and assists with linen changes.
• Handles cleaning of baseboards, light fixtures, and hard-to-reach areas as required.
• Ensures furniture in common areas is clean and uncluttered.

General Description

Performs light cleaning duties to maintain all common areas and designated resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, general upkeep, linen change out, and trash removal. Additional duties may include laundry services and providing cleaning following spills and accidents.

Essential Duties

• Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows.
• Cleans residents’ apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming.
• Cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom.
• Vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed.
• Responsible for emptying trash in offices daily.
• Building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas.
• Responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter.
• Perform laundry functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Prefer prior experience in AL, IL or SNF. Require one year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
