Job summary

Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to create a clean, comfortable, and safe home for our residents in Fredericksburg, VA. The role involves cleaning vacant and occupied apartments, halls, and common areas, following the Company Checklist, and reporting issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Applicants should be 18+, able to operate cleaning equipment safely, pass a background check, and comply with our drug-free workplace policy.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Must pass Criminal Background Screening.
• Drug-free workplace policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Clean vacant apartments using the Company Checklist and report issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied, respite and guest apartments as scheduled and report issues.
• Detail clean halls and common areas; maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Keep laundry/linen rooms clean and organized; manage dryer lint areas weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned per full job description.

Areas of Responsibility

• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied apartments, respite and guest apartments as scheduled using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Detail clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure an adequate supply. Report items needed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized. Clean lint from dryer lint traps daily and clean area behind washer & dryer equipment weekly.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace, associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year housekeeping experience preferred.
