Job summary

Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to create a clean, comfortable, and safe home for our residents. You will help maintain a welcoming environment where seniors feel cared for and at ease.

As a Housekeeper, you will clean vacant and occupied apartments, assist with common areas, and ensure laundry spaces stay organized. Walk-in interviews are welcome Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, and every other weekend coverage is required to support the team.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• Community is a drug free workplace policy observed by associates.
• Preferred: at least 1 year housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using the Company Checklist; report problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied apartments, respite and guest rooms as scheduled; report issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Detail clean halls and common areas; keep inventory of supplies and report needs to the Supervisor.
• Keep laundry and linen rooms tidy; clean lint traps and area behind machines as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned per full job description.

Areas of Responsibility

• Clean vacant apartments in preparation for move-in using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean occupied apartments, respite and guest apartments as scheduled using Company Checklist. Report any problem areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Detail clean halls and other common areas as scheduled or when requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure an adequate supply. Report items needed to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Keep laundry rooms and housekeeping/linen rooms clean and organized. Clean lint from dryer lint traps daily and clean area behind washer & dryer equipment weekly.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year housekeeping experience preferred.
