Job Summary and Description

Directs and supervises the institution's housekeeping program of in-house and outsourced employees, through direct or indirect communication. Exercises judgment and initiative in resolving problems directly under the employee’s control. Organizes the activities and output of workers on a day-to-day basis as a working supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience

• A formal training program after high school of approximately one year in duration.
• 120 contact hours of housekeeping courses sanctioned by the International Executive Housekeeping Association (IEHA), or Alamo Colleges District approved.
• Ability to read/understand labels.
• Five years of housekeeping services experience with three years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Formal training after high school of approximately two years in duration.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.

Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen.
