Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility, ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance. The role supports patient healing by maintaining a safe, hygienic environment and follows strict guidelines.

Night shift, full-time hours with a 40-hour week, and a focus on teamwork in a hospital setting. Prior hospital EVS experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
