Job summary

HHS Environmental Services, LLC is seeking friendly Housekeeper/Floor Care Technician to join the hospital EVS team at UMMC Greenwood. You will clean patient rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe, clean environment that supports patient healing and comfort.

The role requires effective English communication, reliability, and the ability to work in shifts with a strong emphasis on hygiene and professional presentation. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective English communication and ability to work in a team.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed and in uniform.
• Preferred housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, janitorial, room attendant).

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned hospital areas including patient rooms and restrooms.
• Follow hospital cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly, kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
• Perform floor care tasks including buffing and bonneting.
• Assist colleagues to keep the department running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Housekeeper/Floor Care Technician Wage: $10/hour Full-time positions available Day/Evening/Night shifts available Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required Location: UMMC Greenwood- EVS

• Clean assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and more
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors
• Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, janitor, room attendant, floor care technician, project technician, project tech, floor restoration)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
