Job summary

Nexus of Elmwood Park in Berwyn, IL is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility while delivering exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors.

You will oversee operations, develop policies, and coordinate with other departments, with a focus on safety and infection control. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in housekeeping management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• High school diploma required; degree in hospitality, healthcare, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping operations including scheduling, training, and supervision of housekeeping staff.
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
• Develop and manage budgets and inventory for housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to ensure excellent service and safety.
