Job summary

Forefront is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment. You will perform daily cleaning, floor care, waste management, and laundry tasks while following infection prevention protocols to support patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Cleans, disinfects, and sanitizes patient/resident rooms, public areas, and workspaces.
• Operates cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• May perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and uniforms.
• Follows infection prevention and safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, CMS, TJC).
• Assists in setting up rooms and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up rooms, moving furniture, and performing light maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, supply needs, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work and adhere to departmental checklists and quality standards.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

The Environmental Services Technician performs daily cleaning, floor care, waste management, and laundry services to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors. The EVS Technician follows established policies, procedures, and infection prevention protocols, and supports the Supervisor and Manager as needed to ensure efficient departmental operations.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is an full time hourly, non-exempt position. Extended hours may be necessary based on operational needs.
• Pay Rate: $15.75/HR
• Hours: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am

General Responsibility As Required For Position

• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certification/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.
