Dignity HCC is seeking a Housekeeping Director to oversee all housekeeping operations at a nursing home, ensuring cleanliness, order, and exceptional appearance throughout the facility. You will lead staff, manage budgets, schedules, inventory, and maintain health and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of housekeeping management, with senior leadership experience, and strong skills in leadership, organization, and communication. Some flexibility for weekends/holidays is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of housekeeping management experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/director role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Experience with housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and cleaning best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; coordinate ordering and procurement.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and resource efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest or patient satisfaction.
  • Handle staffing needs including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and policies.
  • Address and resolve guest or resident complaints in a professional and timely manner. Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices.
