Duties

Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across resident rooms, common areas, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.

Handle laundry services efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing while adhering to infection control protocols.

Utilize proper chemical handling procedures when using cleaning agents to ensure safety for yourself and others.

Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to preserve a clean and safe walking environment.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to prevent contamination and ensure safety during all cleaning activities.

Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment safely while following manual handling guidelines.

Follow infection control standards meticulously to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a sanitized environment.

Operate cleaning equipment effectively for commercial cleaning tasks while ensuring proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed.

Support custodial responsibilities by ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards and are ready for daily use or special events.

Weekends required

Previous janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or long‑term care settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as window cleaning, pressure washing, floor care, and sanitation practices is highly desirable.

Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely in compliance with safety regulations is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique is important.

Strong customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and vendors.

Knowledge of infection control protocols ensures adherence to health standards within healthcare environments.

Florida Background Screening Requirement:

This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
