Job summary

St. Mary's University is seeking a crewleader to supervise housekeepers and ensure safe, timely, and quality housekeeping services on campus. The role includes coordinating staff, managing payroll-related information, and conducting annual performance evaluations.

Training on performance standards and safety is provided from the outset. The position emphasizes safety, proper use of equipment, and adherence to university policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Fluent in writing and speaking English.
• Able to meet short deadlines and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Basic understanding of Windows and IOS operating systems.
• Must clear and maintain a favorable background check and clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance; complete training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe operations of equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Plans and directs the work of housekeepers according to procedures.
• Plans and conducts monthly training on performance and safety standards.
• Determines and interprets work procedures to assure timely completion.
• Promotes safety by providing and organizing training.
• Ensures safety equipment and uniforms are provided.
