Job summary

Juniper Communities is seeking a dedicated environmental services teammate to perform housekeeping and laundry tasks in our senior living community. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following established procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial laundry services in a healthcare or service setting.
• Understanding of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
• Ability to follow established cleaning and laundry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow Environmental Services procedures to maintain a clean, safe community.
• Sort, wash, and manage laundry; handle linens and garments correctly.
• Press and distribute clean laundry to residents as instructed.
• Clean floors and general housekeeping duties as required.

Role

Works within the Environmental Services Team. Perform the day-to-day activities related to housekeeping and laundry services to ensure that the community is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner

Responsibilities

• Follow specific cleaning and laundry procedures as outlined in the Environmental Services Manual.
• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment.
• Sort, count and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed.
• Cleans floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping.
• Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commercial laundry services
• Experience in a healthcare or service-related industry
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
