Job summary

Erie County Medical Center Corporation in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time on-site Environmental Services worker to perform cleaning duties at the Long-Term Care Facility. The position offers an hourly pay range and requires the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, detergent cleaning, bed and room sanitation, waste disposal, bathroom cleaning, and maintaining supply rooms.

• Gathers and disposes refuse as directed.
• Cleans public and resident-use bathrooms, scouring sinks, wet mopping floors, disinfecting toilet bowl, wiping down all surfaces and replenishing necessary supplies.
• Moves furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks.
• Maintains supply rooms for housekeeping throughout the building.
• Uses a variety of manual and mechanical equipment.

HOURLY RANGE: $18.44 - $23.78

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves performing a variety of cleaning duties at the Long-Term Care Facility of the Erie County Medical Center Corporation. The incumbent performs a variety of cleaning and sanitary duties in assigned offices and general areas of the building. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher ranking supervisory employee. Supervision is not a function of this position. Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
