Job Description - HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT - FLEX/ Recruitment Bonus $1k (250001K9)

Job Summary:

Performs a full range of housekeeping services at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites or Navy Lodge, including cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, storage areas, laundry rooms, and exterior spaces. Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, and debris removal. Uses hand and powered cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Cleaning guest rooms and assigned areas.
  2. Operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners.
  3. Empties wastebaskets, dusts, polishes furniture, cleans walls, vents, and fixtures.
  4. Changing light bulbs, moving furniture, cleaning windows and fixtures using ladders.
  5. Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, including disinfecting and sanitizing.
  6. Ensuring amenities are stocked, linens are changed, and beds are prepared.
  7. Greeting guests and maintaining guest relations.
  8. Maintaining cleanliness of corridors, stairways, laundry areas, patios, and balconies.
  9. Performing deep cleaning as scheduled or upon guest checkout, including carpet cleaning and wall cleaning.
  10. Maintaining storage rooms and communicating with supervisors about room status.
  11. Performing minor repairs and reporting major repairs needed.
  12. Cleaning exterior spaces and assisting with loading/unloading supplies.
  13. Managing keys and reporting unusual circumstances or lost items.
  14. Assisting with breakfast setup and cleanup, and obtaining necessary food handling certifications.
  15. Completing safety and security training, maintaining a safe environment.
  16. Performing laundry operations and possibly traveling between facilities.
  17. Obtaining necessary certifications within 6 months, and performing other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: No experience required; High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Moderate physical effort required, including moving furniture and using cleaning equipment.
