Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning for designated area.
• Clean designated area by following cleaning standards and using proper chemicals.
• Dust high and low surfaces; ensure interior walls/doors/vents are dust-free.
• Maintain floors: vacuum, sweep, steam mop tiled areas.
• Remove trash and debris as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and equipment.
• Inspect vacuums and ensure readiness of carts and tools.
• Monitor chemical levels and communicate when orders are needed.
• Follow safety procedures to protect guests and staff.
• Follow driving policies when using golf carts.
• Attend to area-specific needs (Villas, Public Areas) and assist with duties as required.

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE

Ensure all aspects of the day-to-day cleanliness routines within Housekeeping are met and or exceed expectations. Has great attention to details in order to provide guests a perfect storybook experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform scheduled cleaning for designated area
• Clean designated area by following all cleaning standards and utilizing the proper chemicals.
• Dust all high and low areas and ensure interior walls/doors/vents are free of dust.
• Maintain floors by vacuuming all carpeted areas, sweeping porches, sweeping and steam mopping all tiled areas.
• Remove all outside trash/small debris and remove other trash as needed.

MAINTAIN EQUIPMENT

• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Keeps housekeeping carts organized and clean for proper working condition.
• Inspect vacuums for repairs or bag replacement.
• Collects and returns keys, radio and golf cart in an efficient manner.
• Monitors chemical volumes and communicates when items need to be ordered.

PROMOTE A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Follow all safety procured to ensure personal and guest safety.
• Report areas in need of repair to coordinators or management or engineering in a timely fashion.
• Ensure guest safety by using available wet floor signs when mopping.
• Follow all driving policies while using golf carts.

COMPLETE AREA SPECIFIC NEEDS

• Villas: Change all linens for checkouts on a daily basis. Assist with stripping of villas as needed.
• Public Areas: Walk the village to pick up trash.
• Remove debris from all bushes and trees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, balance, use hands and arms for extended periods.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds, unassisted.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work.

• At least 3 years of experience in housekeeping in a professional environment.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish,preferred.
