Job summary

Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida is seeking a Housekeeping/Public Area Attendant to maintain pristine conditions across the resort and its facilities. You will clean guestrooms and public spaces, work with a team, and help ensure an exceptional guest experience at Cabot’s luxury property.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and strong customer service. Flexibility with shifts, weekends, and overtime supports our high‑standard service at Cabot Citrus Farms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience; preferably at a high‑end resort.
• High school or equivalent education required – University degree or College diploma in Hospitality Management, an asset.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Housekeeping department and public area minimum standards.
• Cleans and inspects guestrooms and/or public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, lobbies, halls, etc.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned.
• Participates in regular training of all housekeepers and public area attendants.
• Conducts daily audits of accommodations and public areas to ensure standards are maintained.
• Models Cabot’s culture and values on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.

Position Overview

As a Housekeeping/Public Area Attendant, you are a key member of the Cabot Citrus Farms team and will be instrumental in building on Cabot’s legacy of world‑leading golf destinations. You will be tasked with cleaning and perfecting the overall look and feel of the property, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout. Your knowledge of high‑end resort cleanliness and housekeeping – combined with your attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment – will ensure that Cabot Citrus Farms remains a safe, clean, presentable, and enjoyable workplace and travel destination for our team members, partners, and guests. You will maintain a daily presence on‑site and build strong relationships with team members, community stakeholders, guests, and prospective real estate buyers. You embody Cabot’s values and positively represent the Cabot brand, helping to set team expectations for the resort’s high standard and acting as an ambassador and role model of exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Housekeeping department and public area minimum standards.
• Cleans and inspects guestrooms and/or public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, lobbies, halls, etc. Complete the monthly quotas set of twice‑yearly guestroom deep cleans and quarterly guestroom inspections. Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, décor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned.
• Participates in regular training of all housekeepers and public area attendants.
• Conducts daily audits of accommodations and public areas to ensure standards are maintained.
• Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
• Models Cabot’s culture and exemplify our shared values on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments, particularly the Front Desk.
• Completes deep cleaning and cycle projects relating to guest accommodations.
• Contribute to pre‑opening responsibilities, including other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work a varied scheduleas needed based on occupancy levels and department demands, including AM shifts, PM shifts, and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience; preferably at a high‑end resort.
• High school or equivalent education required – University degree or College diploma in Hospitality Management, an asset.
• Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Must be self‑directed, and motivated, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent ability to communicate, concisely, and openly in all interactions (verbal and written).
• Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.
• Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and a high degree of attention to detail.
• Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous always.
• Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• Work flexible hours – weekends, evenings, and overtime as required.
• Excels in a team environment.

Working Conditions

• Working in an outdoor environment (i.e.: sun, wind, rain)
• Ascending and descending stairs and ramps.
• Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for long periods- up to 5 hours at a time.
• Required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch, as well as stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, repetitive motions.
• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment, tools, products, and supplies.
