Summary
The Housekeeping Associate ensures the showroom and warehouse are maintained and orderly, and assists in providing an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Functions
- Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior showroom, warehouse areas, parking lot, restrooms, common areas, floors, windows, etc., to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Perform dusting, vacuuming, general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks.
- Inspect furniture for damage and report findings to the visual team for resolution.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote workplace safety improvements.
- Maintain organized and clean non-selling spaces such as warehouses and utility rooms to optimize space utilization.
- Assist with receiving and processing products, handling all items with care.
- Assist with assembling furniture using work instructions and various tools, adhering to quality and safety guidelines.
- Perform minor facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs and carpentry updates.
- Assist with painting showroom walls for store upgrades and upkeep.
- Collaborate with the Visual Team to ensure showroom areas are functional and presentable.
- Display collections and accessories as directed by the Visual Merchandising Manual.
- Maintain showroom track lighting for optimal product placement.
- Assist with product placement and preparations for store moves and sales events.
- Follow standard operating procedures, utilize work instructions, and promote peer accountability to ensure an excellent guest experience.
- Make guest experience decisions aligned with the company's mission and values, resolving issues collaboratively and effectively.
- Support community engagement by working with management on special events like VIP and Grand Openings.
Requirements
Schedule Expectations
- Work 40 hours per week, with potential overtime during peak times.
- Schedule may change based on business needs.
- Travel to assist or oversee regional stores is required.
Education & Experience Preferred
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping/janitorial experience.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, or pull furniture over 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- High courtesy in serving guests.
- Problem-solving skills for customer service issues.
