Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Hospital Housekeeping Assistant to maintain clean, safe environments throughout patient rooms, lounges, nursing stations and corridors. Evening shift, full-time role focused on teamwork and patient-centered surroundings.

Responsibilities include following schedules, cleaning surfaces, dusting, sanitizing patient contact areas, and using appropriate cleaning chemicals according to Environmental Services procedures.

Qualifications

• Reading, basic math and writing skills required.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions and understand English language.
• Effective Communication Skills

The Housekeeping Assistant Provides daily cleaning and supplying of Patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, waiting areas, exam rooms, offices, departments and all other areas assigned using appropriate chemicals within standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.
