Job Summary

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and other areas, following infection control and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include waste disposal, floor cleaning, and ensuring health standards are met across various locations within the facility. The role requires wearing protective equipment, keeping supplies organized, and may involve assisting in laundry and using technology applications.

The physical demands include lifting up to 40-50 lbs, extensive standing, and movement. Work hours vary based on patient/resident needs and may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Six months of housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment is helpful. Strong customer service and communication skills are required. Previous healthcare custodial experience is a plus.
