Job description

Position Summary:

A Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and caring for cleaning equipment. The role involves working in resident care areas and common spaces, performing routine and immediate cleaning tasks as needed.

Education Requirements:

Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English. Must be at least 16 years old and complete ongoing in-service training.

Essential Job Functions:

• Clean and service the facility, including resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Disinfect surfaces, dust, mop floors, empty trash, and replenish supplies
• Clean windows, screens, and other fixtures as scheduled
• Maintain cleanliness of utility rooms, dining areas, and offices
• Follow safety data sheets and use supplies carefully
• Clean rooms after discharge and public bathrooms daily
• Perform other related duties as assigned
