Job summary

South Pointe Rehabilitation & Care Center is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, respond to housekeeping requests, and contribute to a comfortable living setting in a compassionate, team-oriented atmosphere.

Shifts are available in Days 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Competitive pay, PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, retirement plan, and comprehensive benefits accompany full-time

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English in writing and verbally with staff, patients and families.
• Must be able to use a computer/phone for routine tasks.
• Demonstrates organization and management of daily housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Dust surfaces and fixtures.
• Clean windows and carpets as needed.
• Arrange furniture and maintain clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Available Shifts:

• Days 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Essential Functions of Housekeeping Assistant:

• Sweep and Mop floors
• Dust
• Wash windows
• Shampoo and vacuum carpets
• Arrange furniture
• Generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Housekeeping Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is preferred
• 1 year of experience is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to communicate in English in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, patient families and any outside customer
• The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• You may frequently be required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
