The Center at Cordera in Colorado Springs, CO is hiring a Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have weekend availability and contribute to keeping the facility clean, safe, and comfortable for residents.

Responsibilities include daily housekeeping tasks, cleaning floors, bathrooms, windows, and common areas, and following infection control procedures. Pay ranges from $15.16 to $16.00 hourly with full- and part-time shifts available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping experience
• Weekend availability preferred
• Experience in healthcare or assisted living is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Empty and sanitize ash trays daily and dispose into proper containers.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units in resident rooms and areas.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures; remove water marks.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfection; set safety signs.
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect carpets.
• Clean walls and ceilings; remove dirt and dust.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film from surfaces using proper solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste into proper containers; relining trash receptacles.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are properly stored at all times.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures per infection control procedures.
• Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.

The Center at Cordera is looking for a Housekeeper to join our fantastic team. The ideal applicant will have weekend availability.

Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Empty and sanitize ash trays daily. (NOTE: Ash trays must be emptied into appropriate metal containers with self-closing cover devices.)
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
• Clean, wash sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
• Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.)
• Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean an that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.
• Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
