Pomeroy Living, a leading senior living community, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Director to lead our environmental services team. You will be instrumental in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations.
    • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new housekeeping and laundry staff.
    • Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.
    • Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
    • Manage the department budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records, including monthly purchase logs and weekly reports.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning and laundry services in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces.
  • Develop and implement cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in housekeeping and/or laundry management, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including infection control practices.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
