Job summary

Allure of Walnut is seeking a dependable Housekeeping and Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. You will join our Housekeeping and Laundry Team.

Responsibilities include following daily schedules, cleaning resident rooms and bathrooms, common areas, and facility equipment, coordinating with nursing staff, using PPE, and reporting safety concerns. This is a stable part-time position with opportunities to grow in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Team-oriented with a positive and respectful attitude.
• Willingness to work with residents compassionately and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily housekeeping and cleaning schedules
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility equipment
• Sweep, mop, dust, strip, wax, and buff floors as needed
• Clean fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units, and other surfaces
• Collect and dispose of trash properly
• Coordinate housekeeping duties with nursing staff when working in resident areas
• Follow safety procedures when using cleaning products and equipment
• Mix cleaning solutions and disinfectants according to instructions
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain resident confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned
